    Description

ADI AR-147 2 meter 60 Watt transceiver.  This is a Kenwood generic, I'm just not sure which model.  The original mic cable has broken down, but still works great.  I checked mic wiring diagrams and found that an Alinco mic had the correct wiring, so I ordered a brand new Alinco mic to go with it.  This morning, I had a 25 minute conversation over 146.52 with a fellow ham approx 20 miles away.  I used all power levels and both microphones without any issue whatsoever.  Afterwards, I set it to a nearby repeater and verified that the ctss and offsets worked.
Given the power draw on high, I would not be the least bit surprised if it puts out more than 60 watts.
The scuff on the bottom cover appears to be a spot of discoloration of the plastic.  It doesn't appear to be scratched or scuffed as best I can tell.
I bought this item from a former industry technician who took great care of his equipment.  He was also a non-smoker.  Everything of his has worked without issue, other than the ribbon connection in this radio, as explained below.
Full disclosure:  Similar kenwood units are famous for a poor connection between the ribbon cable and front display. I found that this unit had an intermittent display.  I opened the cover and gently pushed the connection closed, and it has worked fine ever since.  Your mileage may vary.  If i weren't trying to fund an HF transceiver upgrade, I would absolutely keep this unit.
I'll be happy to send you a link to the manual online.
Includes:  2 meter transceiver, new alinco mic, old adi (kenwood) mic
As far as I can tell, its ready to go
