    Description

Crosley AM Radio Model D 25 GN Tube clock/radio - Electrically restored.
Electrically restored with all capacitors replaced including those in the power supply.  All tubes tested, 2 of the 5 tubes were replaced.  All out of tolerance resistors replaced, set was aligned as per the service instructions.  Chassis cleaned and the radio works well and is rather sensitive.  The cord was supple and in good shape, so left it as is.
The clock keeps good time, the alarm functions all appear to be working as intended.  Has been a bit noisy on an intermittent basis; I have lubricated it and it appears to be quieting down, but wanted to make a potential buyer aware of the issue.  I will continue to work on this and hopefully it will be running quietly in a few days.  Crystal is clear and not cracked.  Reproduction Crosley rubber feet have been added.  RCA phono jack and switch on the back for external input.
The finish is original and has not been repainted or retouched in any way.  There are scratches and such that I have attempted to fully catalog in the pictures.  Zoom and look them over carefully before you decide to bid. I cleaned the case very well and polished it with an automotive cleaner/polish.  Some of the remaining blemishes could likely buff out, but I was afraid of possibly damaging the paint. The case could be repainted, and I have seen a number of these where that has been done with good results.
As to the plating, I cleaned and polished lightly, but the plating on these radios is sensitive and I again did not want to do any harm to the finish.  There are worn areas as expected around the on/off switch and the knobs themselves.  However, this is a fully functioning restored radio which is very good looking, presentable and would be a great addition to any collection.
Due to the fact that the finish is original and the intermittent noisy clock, I will start the bidding at a low level for these particular Crosley radios. I will pack extremely carefully and insure.
    Paynet is accepted for payment.
No returns accepted, so please review carefully all of the pictures before you bid.

Note: I have not been able to remedy the noisy clock, and clock repair and servicing is not my strong point.  Thus, consider that this clock will likely need additional servicing.

I noticed some activity here this morning, Thanks!   However, I want everyone to be clear on the fact that the clock is still noisy and I will likely not be able to resolve this.  So consider that you will be receiving the radio as described,
    and with a noisy clock
.  If anyone wishes to retract bids, I understand fully.

UPDATE: Clock is finally repaired: A friend suggested some you tube videos on the proper way to oil these clock motors.  I have done so, and have had the unit running for about 6 hours now, no noise, just the normal 60 Hz hum.
