    Description

All original Mod 100 Instalert radio. This particular model was used to receive the tones generated by the Derby , Ct. Volunteer Fire Dept. back in the 60's or possibly earlier. The radio comes with a crystal for the old 33.70 VHF low band freq. This is an all tube model. All tubes work as shown in the second photo.
Since Derby has changed over to a UHF freq., I don't know if it will detect tones. It powers up ,you get sound from the speaker, the squelch control works.
In standby mode ,the power light is on in a steady state. When the test button is pushed, the light starts flashing and static (dead air) is heard through the speaker. Pushing the reset button sets it back to silent stand-by with a steady light.
The steel enclosure is a type of period institutional green . The front panel is an anodized light brown. All labelling is intact with no scratches on the cover. Original "antenna" and non-polarized 2 prong power plug.
Overall condition for an original un-restored ~60 yo radio is excellent.
