    Description

    Pictured here at auction is a working Kenwood TS-520S, 160-10 meter SSB and CW, transceiver for the regular (non-WARC) amateur/ham bands. This rig has a pair of RCA 6146A finals that easily generate 100 watts out to a 50-ohm dummy load or antenna. I made  a few phone contacts with it on 80 (our Iowa traffic net) and 20 meters (to Washington) and received very good reports.  Audio on receive is good too. It does NOT have the optional CW filter.
    I tested it on all bands both in receive and tune. The pilot lamps over the s-meter are new and bright. The power cord is original.  The VFO shorting plug is a 3-D replacement that I manufacture.
    Cosmetically, the bezel shows typical minor scratches; the case, minor scratches and oxidation. The carrying handle is original and sturdy.
    There is no microphone nor manual included. Manuals can be downloaded from several sources for free, on-line.

    Since it is an older, used piece of equipment, I cannot offer a money-back guarantee/return. Shipping has been based on a 40-pound, total weight package USPS ground. I will insure the rig to full auction value at no extra cost to the buyer.
