    Tom Thumb 528 Rare Orange Subminiature tube hydrid Highly Collectible personal radio.
    Up for auction This 1956-58 made in U.S. Beautiful orange colored Tom Thumb 528 subminiature tube
    hybrid radio is a very rare . Hard to find this color- and working . It
    tunes to several stations with volume.This hybrid/transistor radio is operated on 3 small radio tubes and; 2 transistors concept. The sub-miniature radios have a different sound quality from the all transistor radio. These small tube radios are highly sought after(for vintage radio collectiors) but hard to obtain, especially in playing mode.This radio plays good regarding the hybrid technology. looks great cosmetically, has no cracks or chips, is clean, tuning dial works. Note: The Tom Thumb label (see photo 7) is partially faded but still can be seen This makes a great addition to a vintage radio collection.This radio takes 1 expensive ! 45 V. B battery ( about .00)that has to be purchased on line) that I will supply and include in my price. And also a regular C cell battery s5.00 also included.
