Vintage Blaupunkt Granada 22300 Radio

Description

For sale is a vintage Blaupunkt Granada Model 22300 radio manufactured in the early 1960s.
Unfortunately, I know little about this item except that it has an unbelievable sound and it's very entertaining to explore its functions.
Chances are, if you are looking at this post, you already know something about this type of radio or know where to find more information about its features and specifications.
What I can comment on are its appearance and the sound quality.
Overall, the radio is in decent shape cosmetically for a 60-year-old.
Like the 60-year old writing this post, it has a few wrinkles and dings.
On the top of the cabinet, you will find a few places that moisture created a few wrinkles (see pics).
None of these have compromised the integrity of the finish, which is remarkably rich for its age.
There is a bit of finish missing from the tiny legs, and a nick can be observed at the top of the left side cabinet (see pics).
Although I've had this radio for over a decade, I never got around to exploring all of its functions.
My wife and I were content to turn down the room lighting, tune into a local easy-listening station, and let the full, rich sound coming from this vintage gem permeate the room.
It sounds spectacular!
And the electric eye...!
How cool is this?
Blaupunkt was truly ahead of its time with this feature.

I would not be parting with the Granada if we were not downsizing.
Unfortunately, there won't be room for her.
