MODEL 432 MUSAPHONIC TUBE RADIO
Circa 1954
This radio is from my personal collection. It is a nice working 6 tube AM radio. It has been recently serviced - several capacitors were replaced and it has been aligned.
The chassis and speaker were removed form the ivory plastic (not bakelite) case. The case has no cracks or chips and has been washed and detailed. The knobs were removed and cleaned. The chassis is reasonably clean and the speaker is in very good shape.
It has good AM reception. The dial light tracks with the tuning control as you select the frequency/station - this is similar to a 'dial-a-beam' feature of other radios of the era.
The "Musaphonic" badge is missing from the speaker grill. The labeling behind each knob is significantly worn. Please see the photos.
The phone jack works and, with the appropriate phone jack input, will play an iPOD. Nice feature.
