Vintage Silvertone Model 225 Portable Radio For Parts Restoration

Vintage Silvertone Model 225 portable radio that is a good candidate for parts or restoration.  Radio powers up, but only hums loudly  Power cord is damaged, heavily taped in one section. The leather handle is in good condition with some wear and the alligator skin body is in good condition.  Grill cloth is in good condition as well, with no rips or holes.  Dial indicator does not function properly and will need to be restrung.  Radio also operates with old style A and B batteries.  Interior is very clean, with no evidence of battery corrosion.   Hard to find, but being sold "As Is" for parts or restoration.  In order to ensure safe delivery,  the radio will be double boxed.  Do not hesitate to make an offer,  all will be considered.
