    Description

    This is the
    Mid-Century Modern Zenith model C730 AM/FM radio
    in exceptionally fine working condition,
    pulling in stations across each band with excellent volume and tone.
    The electronic components are all original. I did test all seven tubes on my Hickok tube tester and confirmed that every tube exceeded the acceptable working performance numbers by wide margins. With the chassis removed, I cleaned and lubricated all controls to eliminate any scratching while enjoying the radio.
    The slide rule dial scale is in great condition with good graphics. This radio did not come equipped with a dial light. The control knobs are original & in great looking and working condition. The back panel is original, in good condition and holds on tight and secure. The loop antenna system that is mounted onto the inside back panel is in good working condition for AM reception, while the original radio power cord is used as an antenna for FM. An additional antenna can be added using a terminal on the back panel. The back panel also provides a phono jack for input from an external audio source and a switch to select that input.
    This radio features two speakers, a 5" PM speaker and a tweeter for high frequencies. Each is working producing fine sound though the tweeter is less pronounced, probably because my testing was mostly speech.
    The front panel is a treat to behold with its wide tuning dial completely clear of any wear and the original front speaker cloth in outstanding condition. The handsome wood cabinet has some minor blemishes but it has been cleaned and polished to bring out the beauty of the case.
    This collectible Mid-Century Zenith model would be a highlight of your radio collection
    and the 'eyecatcher' in any room.
    The radio measures about 15" W x 9" H x 8 1/2" D and weighs about 10 lbs. unpacked. It will be safely packed and quickly sent by FedEx Ground. I charge only the expected shipping cost with insurance. I'll refund an overcharge which was significantly higher than the actual shipping cost.
